Get Involved

Grow & Serve

Our ministries are designed to help you connect with others, grow deeper in your faith, and experience what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. There’s something for everyone here at Greenville Free Methodist Church.   We encourage you to  1. Come every Sunday   2. Be part of a group   and  3. Serve others

Baptism

An Outward Symbol of Inward Faith

Jesus himself was baptized and He commands us to baptize others . Baptism tells the world that we are truly His followers. The water symbolizes burial and coming up from the water symbolizes His resurrection. Therefore, in baptism we identify with Christ's death , burial, and resurrection.  Contact Pastor Steve for more information, or if you would like to be baptized.

Membership

A Covenant Relationship

While Membership is not essential to attend and be involved in GFMC, it is highly beneficial to both you and the church. Covenants are commitments that are active partnerships. To be a member in this local church is an invitation to partner with others in the body of Christ in a devoted and loving way. The more people who covenant with one another in sincere love and service within the boy of Christ, the stronger we all become together.  Membership classes at GFMC take place several times a year as a several week one hour class, or one day intensive.  For more information contact Rachel.   Our next opportunity for the Membership class is a one day intensive on May 7 from 12:15-4.

Communion

First Sunday of the Month

Jesus asked His disciples to remember His death and resurrection. Communion is a simple but profound act of obedience that reminds us of the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf. At GFMC, we practice Open Communion. You do not have to be a member of the Church or Free Methodist to participate. On the first Sunday of each month, we offer the sacrament of communion to all those whose hearts are desiring to know God more fully.
